Itinerary

Day 1Travel to Lake Mburo National Park with an evening game drive

On this day, our company guide will pick you from the hotel/lodge either from Entebbe or Kampala and drive westwards to Lake Mburo National park via Masaka-Mbarara highway.

Along the way, there are amazing and interesting encounters that give you an insight of the cultural and traditional ways of the local communities for example, a stopover at Mpambire. This is the center where drums are made from. These drums are used to and still act as musical instruments for traditional functions especially in the Buganda region.

On the way to Lake Mburo, stop and visit the equator that runs through Uganda. It’s marvelous to have pictures taken underneath the equator sign. Generally, people tend to carry out non-scientific experiments, most of them are manipulated illusions and not authentic, but fun to watch. There are also curio and souvenir shops that you can visit. A couple of them have their wares nicely displayed and make it easier to shop for crafts, including of course the equator T-Shirt that is an optional buy for many visitors.

Upon arrival in the park, check in at the lodge, have lunch, and relax. In the evening, take a bush game drive where you are likely to see zebras, impala herds, warthogs, water bucks, and topis among others. This park provides the best chance of viewing a deep red sunset silhouetting the thorny acacia shrub along the extensive marshy area. This amazing natural occurrence is worthy being experienced.

Day 2Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi forest

After breakfast, go for a boat cruise and enjoy the sighting of aquatic animals like hippos, crocodiles as well as buffaloes. Some bird species can also be sighted along the shores. These may include African fish eagle, goliath heron, black crowned night heron, african finfoot, and shining blue kingfisher among others.

After the boat cruise, check out and transfer back to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 3Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

This safari day experience allows you to spend the day with the gigantic gentle creatures, the mountain gorillas, by hiking through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Trekking starts with briefing which is conducted by the specialized site ranger. During this briefing, rules and regulations for the trek are discussed. This trekking is carried out in various groups and starts early in the morning when the gorillas are out looking for food.

Once you locate the gorillas with your ranger guide, you’re allowed to observe them for an hour and then after, walk back out of the forest. Those who prefer not to participate in the gorilla trekking can take a guided forest walk or explore the surrounding locality with a community village walk.

After this memorable activity with the giant mountain gorillas, you will be transferred to lake Bunyonyi for relaxation.

Day 4Relaxation, boat ride, swimming, and canoeing at Lake Bunyonyi

On this day, this safari allows you to relax at Lake Bunyonyi after the thrilling and awesome exercise of gorilla trekking and hiking. While you’re here, enjoy the boat ride, canoeing, and swimming. This lake is suitable for swimming because it is bilharzia and crocodile free. However, swimmers should take note that this lake is the second deepest in Africa next to Lake Tanganyika.

Also, the spectacular scenery of the environs of this lake makes the place ideal for relaxation.

Day 5Transfer to Kampala and then Entebbe

After breakfast, start the journey back to Kampala and while on the way, you will enjoy spectacular views of the various scenic landscape including the terraced hills of Kabale and vast banana plantations in Ntungamo and Mbarara.

This trip takes you for a visit to Igongo cultural center in Mbarara where you will have lunch. While you’re here, you will have an opportunity to have an insight about the cultural and traditional setting of the Banyankole who are the inhabitants of this region.

You also encounter herds of the indigenous famous Ankole cow (long horned) which are predominantly reared in this western region of the country.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia.

It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however.
